East Coast Railway Recruitment 2015 – 46 Sports Quota Posts: East Coast Railway, Office of the Chief Personnel Officer, Bhubaneswar, Odisha has announced notification for the recruitment against Sports Quota (Open Advt.) for the year 2014-15 for 46 vacancies in East Coast Railway. Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18-25 years as on 01-01-2015. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess university Degree or its equivalent for Rs.2800/- Grade Pay, Matriculation or its equivalent with 80 words per minute in Shorthand (English) for a duration of 10 minutes which will be transcribed in typing in 65 minutes for Rs.2400/- Grade Pay, Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board for Rs.1900 & 2000/- Grade Pay, 10th standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized board for Rs.1800/- Grade Pay.
Selection Process: Selection will be based upon performance in sports Trials and Interview/ Certificate Verification to be conducted and finalized by a nominated selection committee.
Application Fee: Candidates has to pay Rs.100/- for UR & OBC candidates in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post Office (issued on or after the date of this notification) drawn in favour of “FA&CAO, East Coast Railway, payable at Bhubaneswar”. There is no Fee for SC/ ST, ex-servicemen, physically challenged, women, minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes (whose family income is less than Rs.50,000/- per annum).
How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their application in prescribed format & all necessary documents by Post to the respective office address. Candidates intend to apply for a particular category (sports discipline) or drop their applications directly in Drop Box placed at the respective office premises on or before 26-01-2015 till 17:00 hrs & For residents of Andaman, Nicobar & Lakshadweep on or before 09-02-2015 till 17:00 hrs.
